I’m Juan Miguel Jocom!

My teacher once told me that I'm the "chisme" of the high school. I took that seriously, and decided to be a journalist. As a Managing Editor of the Seattle Collegian I write about the Seattle Music scene and movie reviews. On The Ticket, I tell Seattleites what to do. Lastly, I make video guides for The Nudge. My first ever docu-short ”Welcome to the Neighborhood,” was an official entry for the inaugural 2021 line up of SCOOP film fest.

I bloomed in the Philippines, and ripened up in Seattle, where I’m currently based. When I'm done with spreading the good stories of the world, I volunteer for Queer Mountaineers where I make video content and climb rocks with the gays. Running outdoors like I'm a 80’s final girl, and write poetry about the guys who doesn’t like me back. I’m an expert reader of side eyes and deep sighs, so be careful of what you tell me.
